Lisbon advances easily

LISBON — Lisbon got 32 points and 11 rebounds from Maddie Liberati in a 60-18 win over Lordstown on Wednesday in Div. IV sectional opener play.

Lisbon (11-11) host Jackson-Milton in the sectional final at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Jackson-Milton beat the Devils 51-38 in a regular season meeting on Feb. 8.

Liberati became the Blue Devils single-season rebounding leader in the contest, passing 1989 graduate Dawn Marple’s mark of 255. Liberati now has 263.

Izzy Perez added 13 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and four steals.

COLUMBIANA — Heartland Christian took out Wellsville 53-40 in a Div. IV sectional opener on Wednesday.

Heartland’s Sydney Ogden had 20 points, 14 blocks and 15 rebounds. Jeanna Morgan had 10 rebounds and 16 points. Madi Matthews had seven blocks and eight rebounds.

The Tigers were led by Cameron Carlevale’s 15 points and six rebounds. Elaina Weekley had 18 rebounds and Leah Vinton chipped in 10 points.

Heartland will be at top-seed McDonald on Saturday afternoon.

LEETONIA — Leetonia is on its way to the next round after a 58-42 win over Sebring in a Div. IV sectional contest on Wednesday.

Haleigh Brock led the 15-8 Bears with 16 points. Anna Buffone had 11 points. Samantha Schneider had 16 rebounds. Allison Francosky added 10 rebounds. Taran Ferry had eight steals and five assists.

Leetonia is at No. 3 seed Newton Falls on Saturday for the sectional final.

Sebring was led by Emma Whaley’s 18 points.
