Rivals team up to fight cancer

The Oak Glen and Weir High basketball programs teamed up to lend a hand in the Coaches vs. Cancer project on Tuesday. The two schools worked together to raise money for the program started by Missouri basketball coach Norm Stewart 26 years ago. More than 2,000 coaches have rallied schools to raise more than $110 million in the program’s existence. Oak Glen’s Zach Taylor, who had 28 points in the contest, spoke about Coaches vs. Cancer before the game and donations were collected following the singing of the national anthem.
