Golden Bears edge Potters

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen withstood a 27-point fourth quarter by East Liverpool for a 67-64 win Monday.

The Golden Bears improve to 7-6 on the season, while the Potters drop to 9-6.

Reece Enochs led Oak Glen with a game-high 24 points. Alexa Andrews contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Maddie McKay had nine points and six rebounds and ALayna Kranis grabbed six rebounds.

The Golden Bears led 47-38 heading into the final period.

Emma Ludwig toppe the Potters with 23 points. Mikaya Reed followed with 14 points.

The Golden Bears also won the junior varsity game, 45-41, as Alexus Greenlief scored 10 points.

Both teams play Thursday as Oak Glen hosts Beaver Local in a Coaches vs. Cancer game at 6 p.m., while East Liverpool travels to United.
