WEEK SEVEN FOOTBALL FORECAST

East Liverpool at Buckeye Local

7 p.m., Friday

East Liverpool (3-4, 2-1 in the Buckeye 8 North) is done with its home slate fairly early in the season and now the Potters have to hit the road for the last three. Buckeye Local’s (1-6, 0-3) last win over the Potters came on Oct. 10, 2017 — the last win before a 43-game losing streak started.

Beaver Local at Indian Creek

7 p.m., Friday

Indian Creek (6-1, 2-0) can wrap up another Buckeye 8 North Division title with a win over the Beavers. The Redskins have never lost a Buckeye 8 North game. Beaver Local (4-3, 2-1) has followed up every win with a loss this season.

Oak Glen at Harrison Central

7 p.m., Friday

Oak Glen (7-0) is currently tied for fifth in the West Virginia Class AA computer rankings and can nearly taste a playoff berth. Harrison Central (3-4) has recovered for a rough start to win its last two including victories over St. Clairsville and Steubenville Central.

United at Southern

7 p.m., Friday

The Indians (7-0, 3-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) certainly remember last season when United (3-4, 2-1) handed them their only regular season loss. The state-ranked Indians have been rolling this season though, but the Eagles can still manage to create havoc — as proved last week against Wellsville — even though they are far from full strength.

Wellsville at Columbiana

7 p.m., Friday

This may be a case of teams heading in opposite directions. Columbiana (4-3, 2-1) pulled itself into the Div. VI, Region 21 playoff discussion with an upset of All-American Conference Brookfield last week. Wellsville (5-2, 3-1) is looking at being an underdog in each of its last three games and will be definitely missing the dynamic Darien Suggs as it desperately looks to cling to playoff hopes in Div. VII.

Lisbon at Newton Falls

7 p.m., Friday

Lisbon (1-6, 1-3) lost for the first time since 2011 against Leetonia in the Spaghetti Bowl last Friday but the Devils did show some signs of life. Newton Falls (1-6) has been a doormat in the All-American Conference this season.
