WELLSVILLE–The Beaver Local softball team beat Wellsville 16-6 on Thursday.

Leah Pancake smashed a home run for the Beavers, while Tori Bowersock singled and doubled.

Aleia Hawk had two doubles for the Tigers. Jenna McNicol and Hunter Weekley each had two singles.

WINTERSVILLE — Oak Glen’s jayvee softball team beat Indian Creek 24-13 on Thursday.

East Liverpool 3

COLUMBIANA–Chase Franken powered the Columbiana baseball team with his first home run of the year to go with six RBIs as the Clippers downed East Liverpool 8-3 Thursday.

The Clippers are now 6-6 overall. Franken also tripled and doubled.

Wayne Davis added a two-run single for Columbiana. Michael Ginocchi had two walks and three runs scored.

Devin Toothman had a double and an RBI for the Potters. Kamren Klakos had a single and an RBI.

Columbiana hosts Hubbard Saturday.

LISBON — Lisbon was tied with Toronto in the fifth inning on Thursday but ultimately the defending Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference champions pulled away for a 15-7 victory.

Lisbon falls to 6-8 and 3-5 in the league.

Lisbon had 13 hits on the day with Justin Sweeney leading with three hits. Logan Bell, Nick Mundy, Garrett Cox and Tyler Toot had two hits each. Mundy also had three RBIs.

Nate Karaffa had a home run for the Red Knights.
