EOAC swept by MVAC

MINERAL RIDGE– The Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference boys and girls basketball all-stars got the best of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference all-stars on Monday at Mineral Ridge High School.

The MVAC girls beat the EOAC girls to open the night 56-29.

Maddie Warren of Lowellville led the MVAC with 12 points. Jackson-Milton standout Michaelina Terranova had eight points. Alexis Hughes of Western Reserve had seven points.

Leading the EOAC was Alexis Cross of Columbiana with 13 points. Southern’s Anna Sevek had seven points.

In the second game of the night the MVAC boys bested the EOAC boys 97-71.

The MVAC was led by Western Reserve’s Kade Hilles with 18 points. Lowellville’s Nate Solak had 16 points. Western Reserve’s Jack Cappabianca finished with 13 points.

For the EOAC, Columbiana’s Jared Wilson led the way with 11 points. Lisbon’s Branson Brownfield finished with 10 points. Toronto’s Jake Keenan had 10 points and East Palestine’s Branden Kemp had nine points.

Kayla Muslovski of Columbiana won the girls three-point contest held between games for the EOAC.

Toronto’s Trillion West helped the EOAC sweep the three-point contest by winning the boys contest over Mineral Ridge’s Jordan Zupko and Lowellville’s Nate Solak.
