WELLSVILLE -The Bunco Buddies met on Oct. 28th to play their monthly game of Bunco. Donna Stewart hosted this Fall and Pumpkins themed party. Creamy pumpkin dip with graham crackers and caramel apple dip with sliced green apples offered a taste of Fall. Angel hair pasta and tangy macaroni salad accompanied homemade chipped barbecue or ham salad sandwiches. Apple or pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream satisfied everyone's sweet tooth.
The Fuzzy Dice winner was Arlea Enginger while Kim Meek won the Door Prize. Both ladies took home a colorful fall basket overflowing with pumpkin salt and pepper shakers, fall kitchen towels, potholder and a pumpkin person shelf sitter. Beverly Hentzell won $10 for the most losses. Ruth Ensinger won $20 for the most wins. Anna Mase won $30 for the most buncos.
WELLSVILLE - The Campground Senior Citizens held the regular meeting Nov. 5, 2012. There were 15 members present. The meeting was opened with each member saying what they were thankful for. The Lord's Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and sang God Bless America, led by retired Pastor Delmar Logston and Guitarist Rev. Tom Adkins of the Church. The Thanksgiving Dinner was celebrated.
Favorite Hymns were sung and led by Logston, Adkins and members were back-up. A fun time was enjoyed by all. The clean-up committee were Chuck and Ann Saling, with the help of other members. We need you and you need us. You will be welcome. We meet the first and third Monday of the month.
NEWELL - The Newview Community Educational Outreach Services Club met at the Willows Restaurant for their November meeting. President, Bonnie Ryan, presided over the meeting. Sixteen members were present.
Janet Keller led discussion on plans for our kitchen duties for the upcoming 4-H Banquet.
Plans were made for a workshop day at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Alicia Arms in Chester.
The December 6th meeting will be held at the Hancock County Senior Center. Barbara Jones will be hostess. Members are to bring cookies to share and a $5 gift exchange and gifts for their secret pals. State and County dues are to be turned in at that time.
Tops Ohio 1341
EAST LIVERPOOL - Tops Ohio 1341 met Oct. 29 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with leader Judy McComas presiding. Best loser was Betty James and Pat Allison was the runner up. Winners of the weekly drawings were, weight loss, James, calorie chart, Sally Rudibaugh, junk food, Dorothy Garn and 50-50, Allison. Peg Barker was three times in the losers book. Eleven Tops remain on the check contest and Sally Nicholson was for Kops. Recognized for attendance were Dee Mattern, eight weeks, Sis Meredith, 32 weeks and Margaret Jackman, 56 weeks. Jackman won the coloring contest and received a prize. The annual Harvest Dinner was held and enjoyed by all. The table decorations were donated by Robin Bosco and given out in a drawing with winners being Jackman, Barker, Joan Burlingame, Kitti Phillips, Sally Nicholson and Bosco presented one to Jean Dinch. A ceramic pumpkin donated by Garn was won by Nicholson. McComas thanked those who helped set up the tables and the clean-up crew. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.
EAST LIVERPOOL - The TOPS 1390 met on Nov. 6, 2012. Dee Kiger gave the TOPS and KOPS pledges. There was 18 members weigh in, at the First Free Methodist Church on Saint Clair Avenue.
Best loser this week was Jonnie Carnes with runner up being Arlene Shuman.
The no-no food is peanut butter. 50/50, Dee Kiger $7.50.
Kiger stayed in leadway 10 weeks and was given $10.
The check contest: new check starts next week.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Tourism Bureau met on Thursday Oct. 18th. A review was made of the ad campaigns for 2012 and plans for advertising in 2013. Brian Vaughn of the Jaycees was present and provided information about the Annual Area Jaycees Christmas Parade and Light-up Night, to be held Dec. 8th.
The theme of this year's Parade is "The Shining Stars of Christmas". Christmas in the City 2013 will again feature Breakfast with Santa at the Masonic Temple on Broadway sponsored by the Crystal Chapter No.18 of the Order of the Eastern Star. East Liverpool will be participating in the 2013 "Ohio Has It!" ad campaign. Guest Quest publishers reported over 1200 leads for East Liverpool as a result of our ad in their newspaper supplements in Pennsylvania and Ohio. East Liverpool was also featured in American Road Magazine in 2012. The East Liverpool DVD on U-tube has had over 5,000 hits and is also available through links on our website.
