Info meeting on health care and aging planned
My position as a state representative allows me to meet with advocacy groups that represent a variety of organizations ranging from local funding and farming to education and health care.
Many times, these meetings provide me with information on resources available at the local level for the individuals I represent. Part of my responsibility is to make sure the information regarding available resources is passed on to the people I serve.
That is why I am holding an informational session on July 1 featuring speakers from the Ohio Alzheimer’s Association, the MS Society, and The Ohio Department of Aging. The event will take place from 10 a.m.-noon in the JFS building located at 7989 Dickey Drive #2, Lisbon and is open to the public.
The groups presenting will provide an overview of available resources for those affected by Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis and the medical costs associated with aging.
It is my intention to continue to host informational sessions prior to future office hours. If you have suggestions on a topic for my next informational session, or if you wish to discuss something else with me, I will be holding my office hours at the County Courthouse from 2-4 p.m. that afternoon and all are welcome to attend.
