Thanks and spanks
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the people who go to the VFW, parking on both sides of the street, and also blocking the alley, making it difficult for cars to get through. The street isn’t wide enough so please be considerate to the people who live in the neighborhood.
THANKS, writes a reader, to the valet parkers at East Liverpool City Hospital. They are there, rain, snow and freezing weather. They greet you with a smile and a kind word. I use the service quite often and I wanted them to know how much they are appreciated.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to the people of East Liverpool who leave their trash cans out to blow in the wind. If it’s not trash day, please put the cans in a secure place.
THANKS, writes a reader, to all the sanitation department workers in the area of East Liverpool. I live in the upper East end and I can’t speak for everyone but I think the sanitation department workers do a phenomenal job with collecting the trash. I was first opposed to the new garbage receptacle trash cans however after using them and seeing how the truck works and making it so much easier for the workers I really love them and they do a great job picking up the garbage in my area. The men that work on the truck are always very respectful towards the garbage cans and take great care putting them back where they were first placed. Thanks again for a job well done.
SPANKS, writes a reader, to Columbiana County Commissioners for deciding to give any county employee a paid day off to work the election polls in May and November elections and then also pay them the daily wage allotted to voting poll workers. This is poor use of taxpayers money and bad decision making by our commissioners. This will be remembered when I go to the polls to cast my vote for commissioners and any future tax dollars for Columbiana County.
