Edna Geer

Edna Geer, 97, of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 26, 2025. She was born on Nov. 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Glen and Snowie Seckman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Geer, who was also born on Nov. 17, and passed on Nov. 26; two sons, Ronald and Benny Geer; and a daughter, Peggy Sue Stryffeler; a brother, Arthur Seckman; and a sister, Glenda Hawthorne.

Edna was the owner/operator of Geer Realty for over 50 years, and she was a member of Nessly Chapel.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Wern of East Liverpool; nine grandchildren, Clark Geer, Carrie McKinney, Matt (Rebecca) Geer, Patrick (Leeann) Wern, Melissa Geer, Sarah (Jeff) Van Horn, Elliott Springston, Amanda Geer and Courtney Geer; and 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 4 to 6 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Nessly Chapel Cemetery.
