Betty J. Murray

PORT ORANGE, Florida – Betty J. Murray, of Florida, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 at her home. She was 93 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, March 25, 1931, she was a daughter of the late John and Vivian Beal Roush. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1949, she was active in the East Liverpool Historical Society, Quota Club, Colloquium Club, the Crystal Chapter of Eastern Star and the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association. For many years, she worked alongside her husband at Murray Trucking. She was a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Harry B. “Bud” Murray, passed away in 2010. The couple married on Nov. 16, 1963. She leaves behind a daughter, Sherry Pease, and a brother, James A. Roush.

Betty will be laid to rest at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Dawson Funeral Home will conduct private services.
