Brycen Makei Douglas

WELLSVILLE – Brycen Makei Douglas, 20, of Wellsville, passed away suddenly in East Liverpool’s East End, following a tragic act of violence in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 15, 2021.

He was born December 1, 2000, in Salem, the son of Steven Douglas and Traci DeSenze of Wellsville.

Brycen graduated from Southern Local High School in 2019. He had been employed in the warehouse at Homer Laughlin China Company. In his free time, Brycen enjoyed playing basketball and video games. Above all else, it was important to Brycen to be a great friend, and he loved the time he spent with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Brycen is survived by his sister and brother: Natalia and Elijah Douglas, both at home; his half-sister, Ayana Douglas of Lisbon; and his half-brother, Kean Douglas of Arizona. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents: Jackie Williamson of Wellsville and Pete and Claudia DeSenze of East Liverpool; his aunt, Shauna Pullie and her husband, Greg, and his uncles: Michael and Anthony Bradley. Brycen also leaves behind many cousins and friends, as well as his beloved dog, King.

Brycen was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Linda Miller and Johnnie Douglas.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the Wellsville First Christian Church, 831 Main Street in Wellsville, with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at The Center at Wellsville First Christian Church, 305 9th Street in Wellsville. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Brycen’s arrangements.
