Amanda L. Zlatovich Blazer
EAST LIVERPOOL — Amanda L. Zlatovich Blazer, 78, of East Liverpool, Ohio, died February 19, 2021 in her home. Born July 2, 1942 on the White Front Dairy Farm, Ohioville, Pa.. A daughter of the late Joseph Dragan and Julia Felekey Zlatovich.
She was a 1960 graduate of Lincoln High School and a graduate of the Carnegie College School of Medical Technology and worked at East Liverpool City Hospital for a few years. Her interest in refinishing and restoring antiques led her to a career as a self-employed antique dealer with stores in Lisbon and Columbiana, Ohio. She had dealt in antiques and collectable artwork for over 45 years and was well known for her vast knowledge of antique milk bottles and local pottery. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, traveling and rooting for the Steelers and Pirates.
She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Midland and had also attended Trinity Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool, Ohio. She was a member of the Woman’s Golf League at Beaver Creek Meadows and the local Antique Bottle Club. She had also been a Cub Scout den mother.
She had been married to the late Bruce A. Blazer Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers; Daisy Smith, Julie McDanel, Dorothy Ferretjans, Lillian Glennon, Eleanor Zlatovich, Mitchell, Bernard, Joseph and Daniel “Butch” Zlatovich.
She leaves behind her beloved sons and daughters-in-law; Bruce A. Blazer Jr., Newton Falls, Ohio, Joseph P. and Angela Blazer, Salineville, Ohio, Robert M. and Rhonda Blazer, Columbiana, Ohio, five grandchildren; Daniel, Bethany, Victoria, Joseph L. and Grant Blazer and her sister, Mary Anita Huff, Woodbine, Md.
Friends and family will be received Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. in the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Midland, Pa. with the very reverend Fr. Dejan Barac officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Beaver Cemetery.
