Carol J. Wyke

WILLARD, Ohio — Carol J. Wyke, 77, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at her home.

Born July 8, 1942, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a daughter to the late George and Edna Olive (Snyder) Johnson.

Carol was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Willard and had enjoyed reading, playing on her IPad and sewing. Carol was a huge sports fan; she especially enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tommy V. Wyke, whom she married June 4, 1960; two daughters, Julie (Scott) Bartow of Alabama and Paula (Brian) Hildum of Willard; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Denise) Johnson of Virginia and Mike Johnson of East Liverpool; two sisters, Joyce (Tom) Baker of Georgia and Kathy (Jerry) McKinnon of East Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Lynne Dimick; a granddaughter, Ashley Wyke; a nephew, George Johnson III; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Dimick.

Her visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, with Rev. Theresa Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
