TORONTO — Celestia Katherine Thompson, 81, of Toronto (Costonia), Ohio, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2019 at the Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
Born March 19, 1938 in Steubenville, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Celestia (Monigold) Baker. She retired from J.Vincent Thompson C.P.A. Accountants as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas E. Thompson and a brother, Bernard “Bud” Baker.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Richard Thompson; daughters, Lori Cronin of Hammondsville; Diana Santoyo of Arlington, Texas; and Karen Small of Castleberry, Fla.; sons, Thomas Samuel Thompson of Toronto; David Thompson of Arlington, Texas; and Kenny Thompson of Davenport, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Merritt and Mary McDonald, both of Toronto, and a brother, Walter Baker of Toronto.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 at the Clarke Funeral Home, Toronto, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Chapel Cemetery.
