Paul Jackson, Sr.
EAST LIVERPOOL — Paul W. Jackson, Sr., 86, of East Liverpool passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
He was born in East Liverpool on Nov. 14, 1932 a son of the late John R. and Winifred (Mays) Jackson. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1950. He was a veteran of the US Navy honorably serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Jackson retired from the Beaver Local School District where he taught math.
He was a member of Northside Community Church.
Preceding him in death were his first wife Ruth Ann Jackson; daughter Penny Jackson; two sisters Myrtle Dobronz and Donna Beaver and four brothers Frank, Joseph, Thomas and John W. Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Gini” (McIntosh) Jackson; two sons Paul W. Jackson, Jr. of Pennsylvania and Phillip Jackson, Sr. of East Liverpool; grandson, whom he raised, Phillip Jackson, Jr. of East Liverpool; six grandsons; three great grandchildren and two step daughters Heidi Anne Morris of Glenmoor and Lori Kay Klakos of Negley.
Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church will conduct a funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will perform military honors. East Liverpool Lodge 681 will provide Masonic services on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
