Charles Mercer
NEW CUMBERLAND — Charles Eugene Mercer, 67, of New Cumberland, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018.
He was born in Wheeling, W.Va. on March 21, 1951, a son of the late Earl Mercer and Mary (Highley) Burskey.
Mr. Mercer served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Mountaineer Race Track.
He was also preceded in death by a step-mother, Geneva Mercer.
He is survived by a daughter, Danielle Mercer of Girard, Pa; brothers, “The Boys” Rick and Joe of New Cumberland, Bobby Dale of Fairview, Pa., and Dave of Erie, Pa; brother -in-law, Denny Oldaker of New Cumberland; stepdaughter, Marilee Stinespring of Wintersville; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home, New Cumberland, WV.
