Mary Lucas

SALINEVILLE — Mary Kathleen Brannon Lucas, 92, of state Route 39, died Friday evening, Aug. 18, 2017, at her home.

Born Sept. 10, 1924, in Rosedale, W.Va, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Ethel Rawlinson Brannon.

A graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston W.Va., she was Methodist by faith.

She had worked for the Columbiana County Board of Elections.

Survivors include three sons: Butch Ferguson of Lewisburg W.Va., Rick Lockhart of Salineville, and Jim Lockhart of Wellsville; one daughter, Tina Simmons of Salineville; two brothers: Larry Brannon of Nitro, W.Va., and Jim Brannon of Kenna, W.Va.; and eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, John “Bill” Lucas, preceded her in death, as did a granddaughter, Mitsy McKee.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Monday Aug., 21, 2017, at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, where the service will be at 4 p.m. with Pastor Tanta Luckhardt-Hendricks of the church officiating.
