— Theres Hamilton, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for a stop sign violation following a May 27 traffic stop on Jackson Street.
— A driver was issued a warning for a stop sign violation following a traffic stop on Broadway Street on May 27.
— Officers arrived at a Woodbine Street residence on May 27 for a request to remove someone from property but found the person had already left before they got there.
— Justin Schneider, 34, address not provided, was stopped for questioning on May 27 after an officer observed him exiting a vehicle reported stolen from Harrison County. Schnieder, who had an outstanding warrant in Columbiana County, was found to have a used syringe with blood inside and suspected methamphetamine in his front pocket. He was transported to the police department and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and then transported to Columbiana County Jail.

— A female was advised not to return to a Palissey Street residence for the remainder of the evening on May 27, after officers responded to a complaint of an argument between her and boyfriend and allegedly threw a baseball bat breaking his truck window. The female and her children were at a neighbor’s house when police spoke with her. She was advised to call officers for an escort before returning to the residence in the morning to get the children clothes for school.

— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with a warrant at a Maplewood Avenue residence on May 27.
— Officers searched the area of West 7th Street for a male in a gray hoodie who was alleged to have stolen items from the Dresden Avenue Dollar General on May 27.
— Officers found a child to be safe following a welfare check at a Jennings Avenue residence on May 28.
— A female at the Wilbert Avenue residence where officers responded to a possible domestic situation on May 28 told officers everything was fine, and she was just on the phone arguing with her sister.

— Officers advised the female who requested a welfare check on a female she had concerns about. Officers went to the last known address for the female and were told she hadn’t been seen. They then advised the person requesting the welfare check to file a missing person report.
— After police responded to East Liverpool City Hospital on May 28 for a report of a juvenile that was physically assaulted by his father, officers talked to both parents and the juvenile and filed a report that was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and pending charges and also to Children Protective Services.

St. Clair Township
— Officers discovered the cleaning crew had not been able to shut off an alarm time in when responding to an alarm call on May 27 at a St. Clair Avenue business.
— Officer’s spoke with a male at a Cornell Street resident when the female there said she wanted him to leave on May 27. The male left to stay at his mother’s house for the night.
— An officer stopped on state Route 11 on May 27 to check on a disabled vehicle sitting on the side of the road. There was no one with the vehicle, but the officer found a note saying it was broken down and would be towed in the morning.
— Officers who responded on May 27 to a Samuel Street resident for a possible domestic situation found there was no domestic dispute; a couple were just arguing about trash.
— An unnamed driver was cited for speed following a May 27 traffic stop on state Route 170.
— Heather Bywaters, 44, addressed not provided, was arrested after a Walmart loss prevention officer called police for shoplifting. Bywaters was arrested for petty theft after she failed to scan 12 items totaling $57.34. She was released with a court summons.
Sheriff Reports
— Deputies responded to an address on state Route 45, Madison Township for a domestic dispute reported at 11:44 p.m. Monday, spoke with the parties involved and found there had not been any physical violence or threats. The man was intoxicated and the woman did not want him at the house due to his intoxication. He was transported to his camper at a nearby campground as a courtesy and to prevent him from driving.
— A woman in Yellow Creek Township reported a disturbance at 8:26 p.m. Saturday of 20 to 25 people possibly fighting now leaving in their vehicles at a residence on Mick Road, Yellow Creek Township. Upon arrival, deputies found no disturbance of people fighting.
— An East Liverpool man at 6:48 p.m. Saturday reported he and his wife were camping at Clewell Campground, Clewell Drive, Hanover Township, and his wife was missing. Upon deputies arriving at 6:59 p.m. Saturday, she was located in the campground and was fine.
— A man on Bell Road, Elkrun Township, reported at 10:14 p.m. Thursday that another man’s cow was loose and on his property. A deputy spoke with the other man and advised him he needs to keep his animals on his property.
— A deputy at 3:09 a.m. June 4 responded to a noise complaint in the area of Church Hill Road, Elkrun Township. A vehicle was located in the driveway occupied by two intoxicated men, but the vehicle was disabled and unable to be moved. The man said they were on their property and were 4-wheeling until they ran out of gas. They were told they needed to walk back to the house and remove the vehicle in the morning when they were sober. They agreed and walked back to the house.
— Deputies completed a welfare check at 1:25 a.m. June 4 on a person at an address on Hillcrest Road, Yellow Creek Township, who reportedly made comments of harming themselves. The person appeared in good health and was not wanting to harm themselves.
