LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set June 5 for Phillip Cline, 51, West Wilson Street, Salem, charged with fifth-degree felony theft and misdemeanor criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing at Walmart in Salem on April 23 and April 26 and stealing $1,381 worth of items. He had been criminally trespassed from the store previously.
A pretrial was set May 27 for Jeffrey Novak, 47, Lexington Avenue, Salem, charged with assault and criminal damaging for allegedly punching a victim in the ear and punching the victim’s vehicle on May 15 in Salem.
A pretrial was set May 27 for Calvin Brandon, 58, Akron, charged with aggravated menacing and assault for allegedly bounding a man by the wrist and dragging him throughout a Perry Township property, continuously abusing him and also threatening him on Aug. 24, 2024.
A pretrial was set May 29 for Chase Haney, 18, Duncan Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with menacing by stalking and criminal endangerment for two separate incidents. On May 11, police were called for a reckless driver and were told that Haney almost struck a juvenile and came there to allegedly instigate a fight and chased the juvenile with two other juveniles, with witnesses seeing the car belonging to Haney circling the block at the same time the juvenile was being chased. The other charge stemmed from Haney allegedly throwing bar stools and ash trays during a bar fight in East Liverpool, causing damage to collectible wine bottles, on April 26.
A pretrial was set July 22 for Brandyn M. Thomas, 51, Warren, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for an agreed upon price of $140 and driving to Salem for the meeting on May 6 with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
A pretrial was set Aug. 4 for Anthony L. Dukes, 38, Warren, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct for an agreed upon price of $140 from an undercover agent, then driving to Salem for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
A pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Kayla Kerns, 30, Grant Boulevard, Minerva, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing two glass pipes used for smoking drugs at the Cherry Valley Coke Ovens in Leetonia on May 15 and also possessing two concealed knives. The affidavit said she told the officer about one knife, but the other one was discovered hidden in her boot.
Jacklyn Woolmaker, 37, Ambrose Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for refuse disposal prohibition for dumping multiple boxes on a pile of garbage along the banks of Yellow Creek on Hazel Run Road, Washington Township on March 12.
A pretrial was set July 29 for Kristen Layne, 32, Marion, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a glass smoking device with suspected narcotics residue during a traffic stop in Lisbon on Oct. 12, 2024. She was fined $50 for window tint violation.
A pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Thomas Wilson, 55, Washington Street, Salineville, charged with falsification for allegedly giving a Salineville police officer a false name and false social security number during an investigation about a complaint of drug activity on May 15 in Salineville.
A pretrial was set July 17 for Jayden Huddleston, 20, North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, driving while texting and possession of marijuana for allegedly possessing marijuana while under the age of 21 in Salem on May 13.
A pretrial was set Aug. 18 for Katie Smith, 19, South Lundy Avenue, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense and speeding.
A pretrial was set July 17 for Kevin Sayers, 65, Fairview Court, Salem, charged with OVI first offense, OVI breath first offense.
A pretrial was set Aug. 4 for Kyra Smith, 38, Akron, charged with driving under suspension and failure to dim headlights.
