Highway Patrol
— Heidi Rafferty, of Alice Street in East Palestine, was not cited at 3:40 p.m. April 30 after a single-vehicle crash on Columbiana-Waterford Road. According to the report, Rafferty had been driving an East Palestine school bus northbound when she went to turn left into a private driveway, went off the right side of Columbiana-Waterford Road and hit a ditch. Neither Rafferty or the more than 16 student passengers were injured. Although troopers faulted her for the crash, they declined to charge her as she had been following an order by police when she crashed.
— Jaden Powell, of Bellflower Road in Minerva, was cited at 2:38 p.m. May 1 in Fairfield Township for failure to yield the right of way when turning left. Powell was northbound on Beeson Mill Road and made a left turn onto state Route 14 and was struck by Marchella Witherow, of Steubenville Pike Road in Salineville.
— Jose Manual, of Donna, Texas, was cited at 1:28 a.m. May 4 in Madison Township for failure to control in Madison Township. Manual was eastbound on state Route 154 and drove off the right side of the road, going down an embankment and partially overturning on his left side.
— Jacqueline Willis, of Stow, was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left at 10:45 a.m. May 10 in Knox Township. Willis was southbound on Westville Lake Road when she failed to yield at a stop sign and struck Jason Edwards, of Valley Road in Minerva, as he was traveling westbound on Georgetown Road.
— Layna Sanor, of Kettering Road in East Rochester, was cited at 4:07 p.m. May 11 in West Township for illegally traveling left of center. She was westbound on Weaver Road when she went over the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Daniel Bush, of Stow, which was coming the opposite direction.
— No citations have been issued as troopers continue to investigate a May 10 crash involving a Hanoverton woman. Mary Alice Sigler was stopped at a stop sign at Stroup Road and U.S. Route 30, when a driver of an unknown vehicle traveled left of center, made a left turn onto Stroup and struck Sigler’s vehicle before continuing on. The suspected hit-run vehicle was described as an older dark blue pickup (possibly a GMC or Chevrolet) with unknown damage to the left front end.

— Deputies responded at 3:41 a.m. Sunday to the area of Union Street, Washingtonville for an alarm drop, checking the building and finding everything secure.
— A deputy at 1:08 a.m. Sunday returned a call regarding threats or harassment, then later responded at 1:30 a.m. Sunday to the residence on state Route 154, Elkrun Township, due to the nature of the call. The deputy spoke to the caller and advised them how to proceed and told them a report would be on file.
— Deputies and Wellsville police officers responded at 12:20 a.m. Sunday to the area of Sixteen School Road in Yellow Creek Township regarding an underage party. Deputies and officers made contact and everyone cleared out. Everything was found to be in good order.
— A caller on Township Line Road, Yellow Creek Township called at 7:06 a.m. Saturday regarding two goats, which a deputy located in the road near the caller’s residence and were pushed off the road by air horn. The caller advised where the goats live and that they have contacted the owner in the past due to the goats being in their yard eating flowers and plants, but they had just purchased new plants and the animals were eating them as well. The deputy contacted the owner of the goats and he was told he needed to keep them secured or he could be cited for animals at large. He said he will keep the animals on his property to the best of his ability.
— A deputy was dispatched at 10:42 p.m. Friday to the area of Dunn Road, Madison Township, regarding a juvenile-related call. The deputy made contact with the juvenile and spoke with him. Everything was in good order.
— A domestic dispute was reported at 6:42 a.m. Friday on Waterford Road, Unity Township, in the driveway. A male who was there said he was not involved and the residents just left. The caller advised they believed the residents of the home were the parties involved. A deputy spoke with the male, who was in a vehicle and said he had sitting there for several hours and did not see or hear any disturbance. He connected with the female who was reportedly involved and the deputy spoke with her, advising she and her boyfriend were not fighting in the driveway and had been gone for hours.
