— An officer responded on April 10 to an accident without injury on state Route 267. The female driver told the officer that she was coming up Lisbon Street and the next thing she knew she was sliding sideways and then spun around and ended up in the grass on stumps and tree roots. First Class Towing pulled the vehicle back onto the road.

— Alec Post (age and address not provided) was issued a citation and court date for illegal plates following a An April 10 traffic stop on Lisbon Street.

The officer told Joy that with her high rate of speed, other vehicles on the roadway and a small child in the backseat, he could have added a reckless operation charge, but let her off with a verbal warning and advised her to use better judgement next time.

St. Clair Township

— An officer used a patrol rifle to put down an injured deer on Sidehill Road on April 4. A caller had reported they hit the deer but did not need a police report, but wanted to notify them of the deer needing put down.

— A verbal warning was issued to a male driver following an April 5 traffic stop on state Route 170 for no taillights.

— Officers were requested by the sheriff’s office after Josh Gallimore (age and address not provided) fled on foot after being detained for a protection order violation on April 5. Gallimore ran on foot while handcuffed through the roads. Officers went to last known location of the deputies to assist them. Deputies advised they had him in custody but couldn’t make it up the steep hillside with him. West Point Fire and other rescue crews assisted getting the deputies and Gallimore, who was considered a fugitive, up the hill. Officers stood by with the unsecured sheriff’s office vehicles because Gallimore’s mother and brother were acting abnormally by the vehicles. One deputy sustained a leg injury. Gallimore was checked out by EMTs before being transported to the county jail.

— Officers responded to Planet Fitness on April 5 for a silent hold up alarm. When they arrived, they found the business closed but the front door open with no one inside. After officers checked the building, a key holder secured the door and reset the alarm.

— Officers advised an employee to call dispatch if he knows that an alarm is going off after responding to business on state Route 170 on April 6 for an alarm. The employee said he was new and didn’t get the code entered fast enough.

— Officers found at building on state Route 170 to be secure after responding on April 7 to and alarm.

— Officers had North Star EMTs check a male who said a female was trying to poison him when they responded to a disturbance call on April 7 on state Route 170. Medics cleared the male.

— Officer told a caller that they checked the area and found no one located near her Y&O residence after she reported someone trying to get in through a window on April 8. Officers said they would keep extra checks of her residence and the area.
