Sheriff’s Office
— A Depot Road resident in Center Township called at 8:31 p.m. Thursday to request a report on file that he told another Depot Road resident three times now to not come onto his property.
— A Butler Township resident on Salem Alliance Road reported at 7:34 p.m. Thursday that her children’s father has been driving past her residence multiple times and calling and sending her unwanted messages for the past month. She was advised how to obtain a protection order. Earlier, at 7 p.m., she reported a man at a Knox Township residence was intoxicated and throwing items when she went to pick up her children. She was advised to contact an attorney.
— A woman on Grant Street in Center Township reported at 6:05 p.m. Thursday that her daughter’s father was in contempt of a custody order by not returning the daughter back to her residence. She was advised to contact the courts and an attorney.
— Deputies responded at 1:06 a.m. Thursday to the area of Sandy Creek and Rochester Road for a report of possible poachers and checked the area for a suspect vehicle, but the vehicle was not found. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources was made aware of the call. The vehicle was described as a black pickup with a cap and possibly four people inside. The vehicle was seen leaving the area prior to deputies arriving.
East Liverpool
— Caitlin O’Brien, 33, address not provided, was arrested after a detective responding to a Lincoln Avenue for criminal trespass on Jan. 5. O’Brien was made to go to the hospital for treatment before being transported to jail. The detective noted in his report he did witness O’Brien attempt to cause physical harm to a city police officer by throwing a punch at his face.
— Officers arrived to a domestic situation at West 7th Street residence on Jan. 6, where they were met by the property owner who said she allows her son to live there but his girlfriend was not supposed to be there, and she wanted her removed. Since the female had been there for a year, the owner was told she would need to file an eviction.
— An unnamed driver was issued a citation and court date for a stop sign violation following a Jan. 6 traffic stop on Broadway Street.
— Officers responded to a Lincoln Avenue residence on Jane. 6 to assist the Columbiana County Drug Task Force.
— An unnamed driver was issued a court date and citation for expired plates following a Jan. 6 traffic stop on Walnut Street.
— Officers were told by the keyholder of the alumni center that they had been in touch with the alarm company to fix an issue after officers responded to an alarm at the location on Jan. 7.
Liverpool Township
— Officers responded to a single vehicle, no injury crash on state Route 7 southbound on Jan. 1. The driver told the officer he hit a major patch of ice and lost control. The officer told the driver that a report would be done for the insurance company.
— An officer responded to a single vehicle crash with a car in a ditch on Campground Road on Jan. 3. The rear end of the vehicle was sticking out making it a hazard for motorists and plow trucks. The officer called for a tow truck since the driver wasn’t around. A short time later the driver, James Pizzuti, arrived at the scene with First Class to remove the vehicle. Pizzuti was issued a citation for unsafe vehicle due to the vehicle having four bald tires and failure to control.
— An officer responded to a no injury one-vehicle crash on state Route 7 on Jan. 3. The officer spoke to the 17-year-old driver and her mother who was the passenger. The driver said she slid off the roadway and could not get the vehicle to stop due to snow. The officer told the father a report would be filed for insurance and the vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing to the East End.
St. Clair Township
— Officers from St. Clair and East Liverpool checked the areas of Bolt Storage and Cartright after an officer heard two rounds fired on Jan 4.
— Officers found the VA Clinic to be secure after responding to the location for an alarm on Jan. 4.
— A driver was given a verbal warning following a Jan. 5 traffic stop on state Route 7 for no lights on.
— A driver was given a verbal warning for only having one working headlight following a Jan. 5 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.
— A driver was given a verbal warning following a Jan 6 traffic stop on state Route 170.
— Officers found Wee the People to be secured and notified the owners after responding and checking all doors and windows on Jan. 7.
— A driver was given a verbal warning for improper turn at the intersection of state Route 170 and Calcutta Smith Ferry Road following a Jan. 8 traffic stop.
