County Sheriff
— A man on Depot Road, Hanover Township, reported at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday that he has a protection order against a relative who was at a neighbor’s residence which is within 500 feet of his property.
— A deputy was dispatched at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday to the area of the Travelers Inn, state Route 45, Center Township, for multiple juveniles throwing apples at vehicles driving by. The area was checked, with nobody found.
— Deputies at 2:33 a.m. Aug. 28 responded to the New Waterford area for a report of a suicidal male, with the caller saying he made concerning statements to them and they wanted his welfare checked, but did not know his location at the time of the complaint. Deputies checked the area, but learned from other agencies he lived inside New Waterford. Deputies made contact with him and he was alert and cooperative. He had been visited by New Waterford police earlier in the night and was fine with no thoughts of self harm. He did not appear to be a threat to himself or others.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Liberty Street at 11:26 p.m. Sunday for a report of gunshots being heard. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the source. Officers stood by for a time and all activity had stopped.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 10:58 p.m. Saturday for a report of fireworks being set off. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the source.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Pine Lake Road at 9:13 p.m. Saturday for a reported disturbance. The caller advised that someone was screaming and yelling but had no idea who it was. Officers spoke with the homeowner who advised he and his father had been yelling back and forth but nothing physical had occurred.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Pine Lake Road at 8:02 p.m. Saturday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both parties who advised that nothing physical had occurred and the incident was verbal only. Officers advised them to separate for the night.
