LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Aug. 11 for Malcolm Gilford, 36, Cleveland, charged with a fourth-degree felony count of receiving stolen property for allegedly being inside a possible stolen truck with the keys and his belongings in the 1300 block of West State Street in Salem on Aug. 4.
A status hearing was also set Aug. 11 for Gilford for charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, operating without a valid license, speeding and no seat belt. A court trial is set Aug. 18. The traffic charges stem from a 2021 traffic stop.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Cory Vernon, 43, Youngstown, charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and possession of drugs for allegedly responding to an ad posted by an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent on a known escort website an arranging for sexual activity in exchange for $80. He showed up in East Palestine on July 13 for the meeting with the money and his cell phone used to make the arrangements.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Joseph Perkins, 21, Morris Road, Lisbon, charged with theft for allegedly stealing a cell phone, identification card and cash app card on July 18, Lisbon, and using the cash app card to withdraw $145 at the Lisbon BP.
A pretrial was set Oct. 18 for Julie Underwood, 45, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic control devices for allegedly possessing a hypodermic needle with a small amount of brown substance inside and a methamphetamine smoking pipe during a traffic stop Aug. 4 in Columbiana.
Ray Collins, 48, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, waived extradition as a fugitive from justice from Arizona for a third-degree felony charge of theft of transportation control. Collins was taken into custody in Salem on Aug. 3.
A pretrial was set Nov. 17 for Joshua McIntyre, 43, East Canton, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, driving under suspension, improper backing and no seat belt.
A pretrial was set Aug. 11 for Cory Haueter, 35, Franklin Avenue, Salem, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a digital scale with residue during a traffic stop when he was a passenger on Aug. 4 in Salem
Darcey Hilton, 36, Weaver Road, East Rochester, was fined $60 for renewal of license and a headlights violation.
Jaymee Lynn Metzger, 19, Alliance, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
