COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL
LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set July 18 for Patrick Mahon, 53, North Market Street, East Palestine, charged with two counts of domestic violence for allegedly threatening to harm two female victims, one a juvenile, on July 4 at the North Market Street, East Palestine residence.
Mahon allegedly threatened to punch the juvenile in the face and knock her out and grabbed the adult female by the shoulders and pushed and pushed her away, causing her to trip and fall. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the two victims.
A pretrial was set July 21 for Erich Mericle, 37, Allen Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to rape and kill a woman during a domestic on July 4 in Columbiana. Bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Joseph Smith, 40, Leavittsburg, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to meet with a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as an adult female for sexual conduct in exchange for $140, arriving in East Palestine on May 22 with his phone and the money.
Brad Leas, 46, Weirton, W.Va., was fined $500 for possession of criminal tools and a charge of engaging in prostitution was dismissed, with $25 cash seized ordered forfeited to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He was also ordered to perform 20 hours community service and complete an online preventing prostitution course. Leas was accused of soliciting sexual acts from an undercover Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent and arriving in Salem on Jan. 6 with his cell phone used to arrange the meeting.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Jordan Depue, 32, Montrose, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly arriving in East Palestine with his phone and money on June 3 after arranging to have sexual activity in exchange for $80 with a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent posing as a female
A pretrial was set July 18 for Shane Laflame, 21, East Lake Road, Lisbon, charged with assault and aggravated menacing for allegedly causing physical harm to Billy Carlisle and Eric Ameduri during a fight at the Flying Pig on North Ellsworth Avenue, Salem and allegedly grabbing at his waistband as he was leaving saying he would use a firearm to commit harm on June 13. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety and he was ordered to have no contact with the two victims.
A pretrial was set July 18 for Charles McQuillan, 62, Woodland Avenue, Columbiana, charged with disorderly conduct and public indecency for allegedly exposing his private parts in his driveway in Columbiana on July 1 and still being outside intoxicated and causing alarm to the neighbors when police responded a second time to his property the same day.
A pretrial was set July 21 for Justin Ingledue, 25, Arch Street, Salem, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly standing in the middle of the road on West Wilson Street, Salem on July 4 yelling profanities and having been warned by police earlier in the day for disorderly conduct.
A pretrial was set July 18 for Shawn Morris, 36, Walnut Street, Salem, charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct related to an incident July 2 on Walnut Street when he allegedly was outside his residence yelling, telling officers to leave, was highly intoxicated with an open container refusing to dump it out and refused to place his hands behind his back while being place under arrest. He was tased due to aggressive actions towards officers. He allegedly pulled the taser barbs out and continued to pull away from officers.
Jacob Simmons, 21, Rose Drive, Lisbon, was fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 90 days suspended and credit for 10 days served for domestic violence. He was also ordered to complete 60 hours community service. Simmons struck a juvenile victim with a closed fist, pinned them against the wall and pushed a long ice scraper pole into the victim’s throat during an incident May 16 on Rose Drive, Lisbon.
Giovanni Centofanti, 21, Superior Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and sentenced to 14 days in jail for obstructing official business for attempting to falsify a drug urine test on June 13 at the county Municipal Court building.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Tamara Douglas, 60, Beaver Falls, Pa., charged with reckless operation and speeding.
A pretrial was set Sept. 8 for Kimberly Dirkes, 34, Steubenville, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence first offense and unsafe vehicle.
A pretrial was set July 18 for John McCoy II, 28, Berlin Center, charged with a tinted glass violation.
A pretrial was set Sept. 1 for Rebecca Dillen, 49, Warren, charged with assured clear distance and operating a vehicle without a valid license.
A pretrial was set July 18 for Michelle King, 32, Youngstown, charged with failure to display valid sticker and loud exhaust.
Melissa Anne Staffer, 34, New Brighton, Pa., was fined $350 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Aug. 30 for Lynn Petry, 49, Youngstown, charged with reckless operation.
Avery Cantwell, 20, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $150 for an equipment violation, amended from speeding.
Dashay Miller, 23, Wintersville, was fined $180 for no seat belt and possession of marijuana.
EAST LIVERPOOL MUNICIPAL
EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, a pretrial was set July 14 for Tyler Fickle, 28, Penn Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with menacing by stalking, resisting arrest, public intoxication and driving under suspension. His bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety.
Fickle allegedly came out of a 1500 block Penn Avenue residence highly aggressive, with family members saying he was intoxicated and threatened to beat up his father-in-law, Samuel Davis, when he entered the residence on July 4. He walked away from police after being told to stop and had to be tased to be subdued. The driving under suspension charge stemmed from a 2017 traffic stop.
A pretrial was set July 14 for James Price, 32, Burford Street, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching a woman in the throat, dragging her around outside, strangling her and stomping on her foot during a domestic July 4 in East Liverpool. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.
A pretrial was set Sept. 15 for Tyler Quimby, 24, North Shady Lane, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly attempting to harm Becca Jones during a domestic in East Liverpool on July 2 when he stomped on her arm and she had injuries from a previous incident.
Scott Howell, 50, Canton, was fined $300 and had his license suspended for six months for failure to control and reckless operation, amended from operating a vehicle under the influence.
A pretrial was set Sept. 8 for Ryan Pritt, 40, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, charged with no operator’s license, illegal plates and three counts of infestation/screening for alleged housing ordinance violations. The violations of the East Liverpool city housing code covered from May 20 to June 29 and allegedly dealt with failure to maintain the exterior, failure to maintain the windows and failure to maintain the roof drainage for the property on Lisbon Street.
A probation violation hearing was set Sept. 15 for Thomas Gough, 26, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, for three previous counts of domestic violence from 2021.
A pretrial was set Aug. 9 for Augustina Newman, 48, Jennings Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and right of way violation. She was fined $100 for a separate driving under suspension charge.
Corey Monteiro, 27, Shady Lane Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
William Thompson, 54, St. George Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Donald Nesselrode II, 55, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, was ordered to pay costs only for expired license. For a probation violation for failure to reinstate and operating an unsafe vehicle, the balance of the fine and costs was suspended due to indigence.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY GRAND JURY
LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was served Friday with a secret indictment for a felony drug count and a misdemeanor.
Jeffrey J. Wilson, 34, Ninth Street, was charged by the Columbiana County grand jury with aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Both charges stemmed from May 7, 2021.
