County Sheriff

— A Valley Road, Butler Township, man asked for Damascus Fire/EMS at 10 p.m. Thursday regarding an elderly woman, who was found by her daughter, lying in her motor home due to her medical condition.

— Political signs for trustee candidate Noah Allison were reported vandalized all over Yellow Creek Township at 8:04 a.m. Thursday. The large signs were spray painted and multiple smaller signs were stolen. A deputy noticed damage on his way to work that morning.

— A teenage driver parked at the B&S Carryout in Salineville at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday when his mother’s vehicle was struck by another teenager backing from a parking space at the store.

— The owner of a U.S. Route 30, West Township, property reported at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday her property should be vacant, but someone is living in the home and doing drugs. A deputy and a state trooper went to the house and found a man outside the home. He was found to be in possession of brass knuckles, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and taken to the county jail. The home was secured by deputies.

Highway Patrol

— Ryan Edgar Sr., 66, Crosby, Texas, was cited for failure to control after his westbound tractor trailer attempted to turn right from state Route 558 onto Millrock Road in Unity Township, turned too sharp and struck a large rock in the grass on a property at 6:50 a.m. Thursday.

— Joseph McQuistion, 41, state Route 7, New Waterford, was cited for assured clear distance ahead in a three-vehicle accident at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township. McQuistion’s eastbound vehicle struck the rear of an eastbound vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Leetonia boy, who was stopped waiting to turn into a driveway. After impact, the teen’s vehicle went off the road into a mailbox. McQuistion’s vehicle went left of center and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Mindy West, 38, Washingtonville. Columbiana Fire/EMS came to the scene. The boy’s mother arrived and was taking him to the hospital for a suspected minor injury.

— Joyce Fife, 82, Hartley Road, Alliance, was cited for failure to yield after her westbound vehicle on Hartley Road failed to yield at the stop sign and struck a southbound vehicle at the intersection at Homeworth Road driven by James Caserta, 50, Buck Road, Alliance, pushing the vehicle sideways into a ditch at 3:41 p.m. Wednesday.

— Pamela Risbeck, 46, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was cited for operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to control and no seat belt after her westbound vehicle on state Route 39 went off the road and struck a ditch at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday in Yellow Creek Township.

— Ashley Felger, 31, Echo Dell Road, Rogers, was cited for no passing zone/hazardous zones after her northbound vehicle attempted to overtake a northbound vehicle driven by Kimberly Lindesmith, 47, Center Street, East Liverpool, and struck the left side of Lindesmith’s vehicle, then continued north at 5:50 p.m. Oct. 16 in Middleton Township.

— Tyler William Brown, 27, Elton Road, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control after his westbound vehicle on state Route 154 traveled off of the left side of the road, striking a fence, traffic sign and a house at 42103 state Route 154 owned by Kevin Powell at 5:35 a.m. Oct 16 in Elkrun Township. No injuries were reported. The driver reported hydroplaning on the wet pavement and losing control, with damage to the wood siding of the home and electrical. Fire and EMS responded to assure there was no gas leak or loose wires from the house.
