Liverpool Township

— Police responded at 3:15 p.m. Saturday to neighbor dispute over roaming dogs in the 1200 block of Park Boulevard. Participants were reminded that the township has a leash law.

— An officer responded at 6:04 p.m. Saturday to assist city police who were investigating a disturbance at a residence on the east end of East Liverpool. He assisted in the search for the subject, Jimmy Neville, who allegedly had jumped in the Ohio River to flee police. Neville eventually surrendered and was transported to ELCH for evaluation after complaining of heart and leg discomfort.

— A woman in the 1300 block of Anderson Drive reported Monday she was not satisfied with dry wall work she had paid $1,500 for. She was told it was a civil matter or to contact the law director for guidance.

— A officer witnessed a semi-trailer run over a gas marketer and cause damage to a hillside in the 2400 block of Boring Lane at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday. The driver of truck, which was hauling a mobile home, was advised he would fix the damages.

— Garrett Morgan was charged at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday for speeding, driving alone on a temporary permit and possession of marijuana, after a routine traffic stop.

— Brooke Lang was cited at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday for going 83 in a 55 mph zone on state Route 7. A passenger, George Petties, was arrested for possession of marijuana, after allegedly claiming a ziploc bag of marijuana was medical in nature and from a dispensary and being unable to prove that. He was told if he wished to contest the citation he could if he shows proof to the court. However, there was a box of blunt cigars and packages throughout the vehicle.

St. Clair Township

— Police investigated an open door at 6:30 a.m. Friday in Boost Mobile.

— A Dale Street woman reported at 12:22 pm. Saturday that someone had made $408 worth of fraudulent purchases in the Cleveland area on her credit card.

— An Annesley Road woman reported at 9:37 a.m. Sunday that a male family member had struck her and she didn’t wish to press charges. She was given information on how to seek counseling.

Columbiana County Sheriff

— An Akron man reported at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday he was assaulted by a man named Christopher, who he had been hired as a Lyft driver by the man’s grandmother to transport to East Liverpool City Hospital for alcohol rehab. He did not know the man’s last name and he reportedly ran into Hull’s Market after the assault. Deputies went into the store and found a man matching the description inside the beer cooler. The man, identified as Christopher Lunsford of Massillon, was escorted out of the store. Lunsford had become irate when he was denied smoking or vaping in the Lyft vehicle. He then struck the driver in the head several times and ran from the vehicle at the intersection of state Routes 9 and 172. Two witnesses also submitted statements to deputies. Lunsford, 26, was charged with assault.

— Deputies checked businesses along state Route 172, Hanover Township, at 12:52 a.m. Wednesday and found the pickup window wide open at the Guilford Dairy Bar and Grill. The other doors and windows were secure and nothing appeared out of place. No one was inside. Deputies closed the window.

— A deputy and patrol trooper responded to a home on McIntosh Road, Madison Township, after a neighbor reported hearing two gunshots at 2 a.m. Monday. There was also possibly a bonfire set with people around it. Officers found two men hauling out farm machinery and a fire containing junk burning. The men said the woman who lived there and was in the process of moving out had thrown some boxes in the fire and there must have been some aerosol cans in the boxes, which exploded. There was no evidence of any firearms.

— Deputies responded to a Johnson Road, Madison Township, home at 6:21 a.m. Monday for an argument that had reportedly been ongoing throughout the night. The couple had decided to go their separate ways after six years of marriage. The man was waiting for a taxi and he left with some of his belongings. He was told when he returns to get his other belongings, he should call the office so a deputy could be present.
