Liverpool Township

— A Crestview Drive woman wanted the documentation Feb. 3 of her Facebook account last month, as she feared that someone may try to steal her identity.

— A police officer responded at 9:35 p.m. Feb. 14 to Dewey Avenue, after he overheard city radio traffic of a man and woman fighting outside their vehicle near the A1 bar.

— A male subject reported at 3:53 p.m. Feb. 14 that his vehicle was struck on Lisbon Street between Marty’s and the gas station by a hit-skip driver, and he followed them to Dresden and East Eighth Street in the city before losing them. The subject’s vehicle appeared to be a gold brown colored SUV but he was unable to provide a make or model. His vehicle suffered minimal damage.

— Sarah Michelle Harris, of Ninth Avenue, was traveling east on Westfield Road at 3:38 p.m. Feb. 11 when her vehicle slid into a guardrail at Westfield and Carter.

— Kelly Jo Monigold, of Youngstown, was northbound on state Route 11 at 5:22 p.m. Feb. 15 when she was struck by a hit-skip vehicle that scratched her front left fender.

Highway Patrol

— Duane Walters, 62, Salineville, was cited for failure to control at 2:23 p.m. Friday after he crossed the center line, went off the road and over an embankment before striking a fence on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township. Walters sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

— Joseph R. Fish, 29, Girard, was cited for assured clear distance and distracted driving after he rear-ended the vehicle of Robert W. Farkas, 44, Salem, at 9:50 p.m. Feb. 17 on state Route 11 in Madison Township.

— Melissa Johnson, 28, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control after she traveled off the road and struck a ditch at 11:44 p.m. Friday on Whinnery Road in Hanover Township.

— Randy Springer, 36, Irondale, traveled off the road and struck an embankment on Mick Road in Yellow Creek Township at 2:50 a.m. Feb. 16. He was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries and drugs are a suspected factor in the crash. Lab results are pending.

— Ryan Pritt, 19, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to control after he traveled off the side of the road, struck a trash can and an embankment before overturning on Old Irondale Road in Yellow Creek Township at 2:50 a.m. Feb. 14. Pritt was also cited with operating a vehicle without a license and hit-skip due to the vehicle being abandoned upon discovery.

— Rachel A. Dunn, 49, Kensington, was cited for left of center, OVI and hit-skip after she traveled into the other lane on Buffalo Road in Hanover Township and struck the vehicle of Lynn T. Fabian, 65, Kensington, at 3 p.m. Saturday. Dunn fled the scene but was later located and cited.

— Michael A. Mattern, 53, East Palestine, was cited for assured clear distance after he rear-ended the vehicle of Shiela R. Brunner, 63, Beaver Falls, Pa., on state Route 14 in Unity Township at 2:45 p.m. Friday.


— Officers were dispatched to a South Green Street residence at 3:51 a.m. Feb. 12 after a woman reported that her roommate was having a possible mental breakdown and threatened suicide. The man assured officers he was okay, had calmed down and had no intent to harm himself.

— An officer responded to a call for a reckless driver at the county courthouse at 12:30 p.m. Friday. A vehicle had driven onto the sidewalk and struck a light pole before driving off. Dispatch advised the officer that the vehicle was driving past the courthouse again and drove over the sidewalk before parking. The officer spoke to the driver, Doris Bishop, East Liverpool, who stated she had just gotten her second COVID-19 vaccine the previous day, was feeling “fuzzy” and was unaware that she had driven off the road and into several objects. The officer felt that she was not fit to drive and a friend came to get her.
