Liverpool Township

— Todd Hawthorne, no address listed, was arrested twice within 36 hours over the weekend for driving without a valid license. According to police, the first traffic stop was at 5:10 p.m. Nov. 29 on Lisbon Street, after an officer noted the license plate was obstructed on the vehicle that Hawthorne noted was his friend’s. Neither Hawthorne nor the friend could provide current registration information despite asserted that it was recently purchased. The vehicle was towed due to the lack of verifiable valid registration and during the search, the tow truck found a clear plastic bag of suspected marijuana. Hawthorne was charged for the marijuana possession and driving without an operator’s license. Then at 11:26 p.m. Nov. 30, an officer observed Hawthorne was driving another friend’s vehicle on state Route 11 near the Cloverleaf and he allegedly failed to signal when merging onto the highway. Eventually the officer pulled over Hawthorne, who was driving the green Ford, which had plates registered to another vehicle. Hawthorne admitted that he hadn’t got the vehicle registered yet and cited him once again for driving without a license and this time also fictitious plates.

— Police responded at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 22 to state Route 11 for a rollover crash. According to the report, Ronell Davis, no address listed, swerved to miss a deer that ran into his lane, overcorrected to the right and rolled the car approximately two or three times, after leaving the road. He was not cited.

— No citations are noted on the report, after Shawn J. Adams, no address listed, allegedly attempted to outrun a traffic stop at 8:31 p.m. Nov. 25 in he 16000 block of John Street in St. Clair Township, after leading officers on a pursuit off Lisbon Street to his residence. Upon arriving home, Adams allegedly fled on foot, eventually having to be tazed to be taken into custody.

— A breaking and entering was reported at 12:26 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 900 block of Dilworth Road, while the occupant alleged was on a hunting trip in Pennsylvania. Some prescription medications and two firearms are missing, after the suspect broke in through the garage door.

— A Carolina Avenue man reported at 4:38 pm. Nov. 28 that he was the victim of a fraudulent eBay transaction last month.

— An officer responded at 5:08 pm. Nov. 28 to the 1100 block of Dilworth Road for a domestic dispute between a woman and her allegedly intoxicated husband.

Lisbon

— Michael D. Buzulencia, 62, of Warren, was cited for OVI and assured cleared distance after he struck a vehicle driven by Tina M. Williams, 61, Rose Drive Apartments, Lisbon, on Jackson Street at 5:29 p.m. Friday.

— An East Washington Street woman reported Monday a caller told the woman her social security number (SSN) and credit card were being used in Texas for drugs and money laundering. The caller asked her for the last four digits of her SSN and she complied but then she hung up when he asked for her bank account numbers.

— A woman reported passing by the downtown food distribution box in the square on Saturday and when she went by the next day it was empty. The woman identified a possible suspect and police questioned him, but he said he only took a few items.

— A Pendleton Street woman reported Monday a caller identifying himself as a law enforcement officer said a rental car in her name was found in Texas with cocaine in it. The caller told her she needed to pay $5,000 in gift cards or face going to prison for six months. The woman then went to Lowe’s and purchased $5,000 in gift cards before her fiance told her to call police, and the responding officer told her this was a scam. While she was talking to the officer she received a voice mail from the fake law enforcement officer telling her to send the gift cards and not tell anyone, and she said the call came from the Lisbon police line. The officer said that was impossible because he was the only officer on duty.

— A man who lives at Greentree Place reported Sunday his PlayStation 4 was missing after either he left it on his front porch, in his vehicle or on the vehicle roof.
