— A Columbia Street, Leetonia, woman reported at 3:49 a.m. Sunday her daughter-in-law was extremely intoxicated and refusing to leave the Tipsy Cow Bar. Deputies spoke to the bar manager, who said the woman in question left with a bunch of people after last call before 2:30 a.m. Deputies told the mother-in-law what the bar manager had said.

— A Black Road, Center Township, man reported at 1:43 a.m. Sunday he heard a woman yelling at the top of her lungs from his neighbor’s home. Deputies spoke to a man next door, who said his 11-year-old son is in the back bedroom playing video games and yelling. The father said he would tell him not to yell.

— Several people and vehicles were found at a North Front Street, Negley, address at 1:05 a.m. Sunday after deputies received a noise complaint. One man identified himself as the owner’s son and he agreed to keep the music down.

— A deer was reported struck and laying on the highway near the West Point Fire Department, state Route 45, Madison Township, at 1:16 a.m. Sunday. Deputies removed it from the roadway.

— A Foundry Hill Road, Franklin Township, man was at East Liverpool City Hospital at 4:28 a.m. Sunday after he reportedly shot himself with a firearm.

— Someone called deputies after a vehicle struck a bridge on St. Jacob Logtown Road at 10:14 p.m. July 7. The highway patrol handled the accident.

— A dispute was reported at Thomas Market, First Street, Hanoverton, at 6:56 p.m. July 7. Both people had left before deputies arrived.

— A man was reported standing along the roadside on state Route 14 in Salem Township, jumping up and down and screaming at 2:47 p.m. Thursday. He was gone before deputies arrived.

— Deputies were asked to check on someone at Barnett’s Motel, U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, and the Damascus EMS transported to person to the Salem Regional Medical Center with a medical issue.

— A domestic dispute was reported on Lusk Lock Road, Elkrun Township, where a child had called 911 to say his father punched him in the back at 2:46 p.m. July 5. It turned out the father went to smack the child’s rear end due to him talking back, but he moved out of the way and the blow struck his lower back instead. Deputies explained the difference between child abuse and discipline and warned the boy against the misuse of 911.

–A Parshall Street, Yellow Creek Township, man reported at 10:51 a.m. Sunday his neighbors set off fireworks and his metal roof had possible damage. There were burn marks on the roof, but it was uncertain if it was damaged. The man also found fireworks debris on his car.


— Police were called to an East Chestnut Street home at 11 a.m. Sunday, where a woman said her 10-year-old grandson was out of control and breaking things. Police explained to the youth the possible consequences of his actions if he continues to engage in bad behavior, and the boy said he understood and apologized.

— Police responded to a report of threats at an apartment in the town square at 8:32 p.m. Thursday. While police could not determine if anyone was threatened, they learned there was an arrest warrant out of the county sheriff’s office for Roger Wright Jr., who was taken into custody at the apartment.
