East Liverpool

— A hit and run incident involving a parked car happened sometime before noon Sunday in the area of Walter and Pennsylvania.

— A property owner asked officers of extra checks at 2:26 a.m. Monday after allegedly seeing a Jeep outside her home and fearing they were trying to break in.

— Police were dispatched at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday to the 1500 block of St. Clair Avenue for three juveniles carrying signs. No one was found.

— A fireworks complaint was filed at 1:52 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Elmwood and Mapletree.

— A caller reported a suspicious vehicle at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday in the first block of Cleveland Avenue. Police arrived and had negative contact with the white Cadillac described.

— A caller reported at 9:43 p.m. Monday disturbed woman was causing a scene in the parking lot of the downtown Giant Eagle and employees were trying to calm her.

— An elderly man reported at 6:11 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Park that two kids were in his backyard and pointed a rifle at his dog. He was unsure if it was a pellet gun and scared them away.

— A neighbor dispute was reported at 9:58 p.m. Monday in the 300 block of Wilbert Avenue.

— Officers were called at 9:18 p.m. Monday to the VFW to investigate a report of kids bothering construction equipment at the site. They were playing hide and seek, and the equipment was not damaged.

— A possible suicidal girl was reportedly walking along the railroad tracks near the first block of Elizabeth Street at 5:29 p.m. Monday. Upon checking, she was fine.

Liverpool Township

— Officers responded at 6:40 p.m. Sunday to a home to investigate a child custody issue.

— No citations were noted at 2:51 p.m. May 26 when Cody Reckner, of Sprucevale Road allegedly sideswiped Cierra Wern, of Densmore Avenue, on Boring Lane.

— Police told a man not to return to a 900 block of West Eighth Street residence after he showed up there with a gun shortly before 5 p.m. May 29.

Highway Patrol

— Ralph Scott, 86, of Beaver Falls, Pa., was cited for assured clear distance when he struck the rear of Ronald Reidy, 73, of East Palestine, who was slowing down to make a right turn onto Jimtown Road from state Route 170 in Unity Township at 2 p.m. Monday.

Lisbon

— Chief Mike Abraham responded to South Beaver Street for a possible domestic dispute reported by a third party at 12:57 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, police learned that the woman screamed because the man accidentally closed the door on her finger, but it was an accident.

— Robert McLaughlin, 59, was cited for public intoxication when an officer found him around West Park Avenue with no shirt or shoes on at 12:32 a.m. Thursday. The officer said McLaughlin was knocking on several doors, while being very intoxicated. He said he was upset so he was drinking. He was escorted home by police.

County Sheriff

— An elderly woman with dementia on Hartley Road, Knox Township, was having problems at 12:21 p.m. Friday and was transported to the hospital by ambulance after her doctor agreed to have her admitted.

— A Millrock Road, Middleton Township man reported at 11:06 p.m. Sunday his son took his horse and buggy off his property without his consent and then broke into his other son’s home by kicking in the back door. A warrant was issued to charge David J. Weaver, Carroll County, with theft and burglary.

— At 3:04 p.m. Sunday, Dollar General, Damascus, employees reported concerns about two people who were in the store and believed one of them had warrants for their arrest. The two people had left the store when deputies arrived, but the vehicle was found at the Deer Run Mobile Trailer Park. Deputies spoke to the two people, but found neither had warrants. They drove back to the Dollar General to clear up the confusion, but the manager said she does not want the two people to return to the store.

— A man was found by deputies slumped over the steering wheel of his truck parked at his home on Bayard Road, West Township at 10:27 a.m. Monday. He ultimately was found to be fine, but suspected narcotics were found in the vehicle and seized to be sent to the crime lab.

— A Ridgeview Drive woman arrived at the sheriff’s office at 7:08 a.m. Monday to report she has a protection order against a man who came into her home that morning.

— An Eagleton Road, Salem Township, woman reported her ex-husband texted her on Thursday to say he was going to shove his hand down her throat. He also told her to shove her finger somewhere. She was planning to get a protection order against him, but she needs to have some contact with him because they have children together and wants to limit their conversation to the children.

— Deputies were called to the BMV in Lisbon at 8:55 a.m. Monday where people in line were having arguments with patrons of other businesses in the plaza. Employees of the Columbiana County School Employees Credit Union said they and their customers were having difficulty getting into the bank because the line from the BMV is spread out across the front of the plaza. People waiting in line for the BMV were arguing with these customers because they believed they were cutting in line. Deputies spoke to the BMV employees and asked them to rotate their line to the other side of their building.

— A Sprucevale Road, Middleton Township, woman reported at 10:36 a.m. Monday she believed someone was at an old car in the woods near her house. While deputies were on their way, she called again to say she did not need them because she believed it to be noises caused by an animal.
