County Sheriff

— A domestic dispute was reported at a Washington Street, Washingtonville, residence at 1:32 a.m. Saturday. Both sides signed a refusal to prosecute the other.

— Deputies checked a home on state Route 170, Middleton Township, at 4:03 a.m. Sunday where an alarm sounded. All the doors and windows were secure.

— A domestic dispute was reported at 11:39 p.m. Sunday between a woman and her live-in boyfriend living on Desellem Road, Madison Township. She signed a refusal to prosecute him.

— A state Route 14, Unity Township, woman reported at 11:22 p.m. Sunday her ex-husband is destroying their camper living where they live behind Sticky Fingers Restaurant. She decided not to prosecute him and signed a refusal form.

— A Wooddale Drive, Hanover Township, woman reported at 5:28 a.m. Monday, she was having an anxiety attack because there are people outside her home. Deputies could not find anyone in the area and KLG transported her to Salem Regional Medical Center.

Lisbon

— Police were asked to perform a welfare check at a Harrison Street residence at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday because a woman wanted to drop off some food for her sister, who was not answering the door. Police were later able to contact the occupants.

— Police were asked to perform a welfare check at a Jerome Street residence at 9 p.m. Saturday. The woman who lives there answered the door and said everything was fine.

— Police were called to Apple Grove apartments at 11:55 a.m. Friday because a resident had become combative while an ambulance crew was attempting to transport her to a a local hospital. The woman was throwing things, and one of the items struck an EMT. The ambulance company will decide later whether to press charges.

— A woman who lives on North Market Street reported Friday being harassed by someone on Facebook — a Pennsylvania man who called her a “psycho (expletive)” and threatened to spread lies about her. Police told her just to block the man on Facebook and cease contact with him.

— Police were called to the Rite Aid parking lot on Thursday, where yet another person was about to fall prey to a scam where caller wanted their Social Security card number and money placed on a gift card or they would go to jail. The woman was told this was a scam and promptly hung up.

Highway Patrol

— Charles A. Land, 20, of East Palestine, was cited for failure to control when he traveled off the side of Bye Road and into a ditch in Unity Township at 5:21 p.m. Saturday.

— Devan T. Murphy, 18, of Hanoverton, struck a deer while traveling on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 8:12 a.m. Sunday.

— The caravan of David Tice, 22, of East Liverpool, struck a deer while traveling on state Route 11 in Elkrun Township at 9:07 p.m. Saturday.

— Brandy E. Sanders, 23, of Columbiana, was cited for failure to control and OVI when she traveled off the side of state Route 344 and struck a tree and bush in Salem at 8:07 p.m. Friday. Sanders said she did not recall what happened prior to the crash. She later stated that she could not see without her glasses and drove off the road due to headlights from oncoming traffic. It is suspected that prescription medication may have impaired Sanders. She had minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

— Jack L. Dunham, 58, of New Waterford, was cited for OVI, failure to control, leaving the scene of an accident, a seat belt violation and failure to reinstate after he drove off the side of Steubenville Pike Road and struck an embankment in Center Township at 6:22 p.m. Oct. 5. Dunham was life-flighted to a local hospital. A pill bottle prescribed to Dunham and an open beer can were found in the vehicle. The vehicle belonged to Robert White, of Lisbon, who stated he did not give Dunham permission to use it.
