Wellsville Police Reports

— A Wellsville resident reported an abandoned house on Commerce Street was broken into on Sept. 18. He reported the back door was used and nothing was taken.

— A Wellsville resident reported his live-in girlfriend stole $298 from his vehicle on Sept. 18.

— Saw McKinnon was arrested for tampering with evidence and taken to the county jail on Sept. 19. While police served a search warrant to 140 Independence Square, they found McKinnon in one of the bedrooms, and saw him throw two bags of suspected crack cocaine out of the window. One bag was found on the window ledge and the other was was in the back yard.

— Destiny Moody was served a notice of criminal trespass on Sept. 10, and was told to not return to Independence Square or she would be charged.

— Jeremy Cranston was served a notice of criminal trespass on Sept. 10, and was told to not return to Independence Square or he would be charged.

— Ronald Dye was charged with physical control and was taken into custody on Sunday. Police were sitting on Route 7 northbound blocking both lanes of traffic because of a cable line was down, when Dye hit one of the traffic cones set up and almost hit the police cruiser. He was given a warning and directions for the detour, but he continued to travel north, and was stopped again. He was slurring his speech. The highway patrol gave him a PBT test, which read .162.

— Harley Crawford was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct and charged with drug paraphernalia on Sept. 16. Police were notified of a semi truck stopped on Maple Street, when officers made contact with the driver he said a man had walked in front of the truck and was talking to himself. Officers found Crawford across the street. Crawford admitted to taking ecstasy, and they found a glass pipe with residue on it in his shorts pocket.

— Officers received a report from a Chester Avenue resident on Sept 10. The resident reported she had returned home to find her doors open and a window air conditioner unit moved. She believes she knows who did it.

–Officers responded to Commerce Street for a man trespassing, and found another man overdosing on Sept. 15. The one was advised he was on the trespass list and the other was transported to the East Liverpool Hospitable.
