Columbiana County Sheriff

— A Depot Road, Salem Township, man reported at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday he was driving near Franklin Square when a work van drove by him recklessly. He beeped his horn at the van and the man made an obscene gesture before throwing an unknown object at his vehicle, which struck the windshield and chipped it.

— A Winona Road, Homeworth, man reported at 7:13 a.m. Wednesday he has a 10-month-old son with his girlfriend and a Children Services case against her for alleged substance abuse. They live together and he has been told by Children Services not to leave the child alone with the mother. He has been taking the child to his mother’s when he works. On Wednesday the girlfriend reportedly threatened to hit herself in the face and tell the sheriff he hit her if he took their child when he left.

— A Crestview Road, New Waterford, woman reported at 6:56 a.m. Wednesday her ex has been harassing her and threatening to take custody of their children. When he comes into the home to pick up the children, he video records the condition of the house. The woman said there are things sitting around because they are working on a couple of rooms.

— A suspicious vehicle was reported on Wooddale Drive in Guilford Lake at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies found a large motor home parked on the roadway on a bend, which had reportedly been sitting there running for two days. The owner, Michael Hickey, told the deputy the motor home has a blown air bag in the suspension system and someone is coming to fix it. He was told to move it to another location so it does not restrict the roadway and he agreed they would move it shortly.

— A Salem-Alliance Road, Butler Township, resident asked to have a man removed from the home at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, but no one was there when deputies arrived.

— A woman reported at 12:39 p.m. Tuesday they moved out of their Second Street, Hanoverton, home about two months earlier, but when they came there on Tuesday they found someone had gone in through a window and stole an air conditioner unit, a drone and a homemade rifle.

— A Timber Run Street, Unity Township, woman reported at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday after receiving two credit reports from separate credit card companies she believes someone is attempting to open a line of credit in her name. She also found some of the information on the reports is incorrect.
