Columbiana County Common Pleas

Virginia R. Brendlinger, 43, state Route 45, Lisbon, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children. County Drug Task Force officers found the items to manufacture methamphetamines in the East Third Street, Salem, home where Brendlinger was living with three children. She faces up to six years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 22.

David J. Melanson, 25, Akron, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He faces up to an 18-month prison term and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 15. In April 2015, Melanson had a pump shotgun belonging to Timothy Phillips.

Tracy A. Sarchione, 41, East Market Street, Alliance, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs and three counts of possession of drugs. She faces up to four and a half years in prison, a $12,500 fine and a five year licence suspension. On Aug. 24, 2016, Sarchione had offered to sell less than five grams of heroin. Then on Sept. 7, 2016, Sarchione had cocaine, heroin and tetrahydrocannabinol. In another case, Sarchione pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin for having both heroin and fentanyl on April 27, 2018. For those charges she faces up to two years in prison, a $5,000 fine and a five-year license suspension. Sentencing for both cases is set for Aug. 22.

Stephanie Hudson, 27, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for harming Michael Beaver with a knife. She faces up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 15.

Michael M. Nagel Jr., 34, Sandusky, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. He faces up to a year in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $2,500 fine. On May 4, 2017, Nagel had buprenorphine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 19.

Zealand Lewis, 19, Cleveland Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to failure to verify residence address. He faces up to eight years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 12. Lewis is required to verify his residence for an attempted rape conviction in Cuyahoga County’s juvenile court on Aug. 15, 2017. Lewis failed to verify his address to the county sheriff by Aug. 14, 2018.

Jason M. Peltz, 46, Macedonia, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for having cocaine on June 16, 2018. He faces up to a year in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 30.

Laura C. Blake, 52, Jennings Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and two counts of trafficking in drugs. She faces up to four and a half years in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $5,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 22. In 2016, on Aug. 8 and Aug. 22, Blake allegedly sold cocaine. Then on Feb. 3, 2017, she was found to have less than a gram of heroin.

Angel Potts, 26, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for having heroin on Nov. 12, 2017. She faces up to a year in prison, a five-year license suspension and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Aug. 15.

Vicky L. McConnell, 61, Garner Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to domestic violence for harming Larry McConnell on Nov. 4. McConnell faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Sentencing is set for July 12.
