Columbiana County Sheriff

Cody and Mike Bouffine, Rose Drive, Center Township, were arguing at 9:24 p.m. Monday about Lorraine Rummel coming into the apartment and causing a disturbance. Rummel allegedly accused Cody Bouffine of sleeping with a girl and pushed him. He said he then pushed her out of the residence. He did not want to press charges. Deputies spoke with Rummel, who said her son’s husband was the one causing the disturbance and he pushed her. She was told to go back to her apartment and calm down.

Deputies were sent to a home on state Route 45 in Elkrun Township to check on someone at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. It was determined there were no problems.

A Middleton Road, Fairfield Township, resident reported at 3:13 p.m. Monday, while he and his wife were in the living room watching TV they heard a noise in the driveway. They went to the window and saw a woman with long, blond hair get into a bright red Pontiac Sunfire and leave. They found work boot prints around the garage and the house to the kitchen window. It appeared someone was looking into the house and someone else was probably in the vehicle.

At 11:03 a.m. Monday a home on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township was reported broken into. A man was there working for H and M Bank, fixing the air conditioner, when he went around the home and found the back door to the garage open. He then went inside the house and found the kitchen sink and bathroom sink missing. The air conditioner was missing also.

Amy Sherwood, Lincoln Street, Salineville, reported at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday there was a suspicious vehicle driving up and down the street, stopping sometime. Deputies checked the area, but no one was found.
