Holtz Hall of Fame launches ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ to honor Frank ‘Digger’ Dawson
EAST LIVERPOOL — The Lou Holtz/Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame and Museum has announced the launch of its new fundraising initiative, the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Campaign, created in loving memory of its founder, Frank “Digger” Dawson, who passed away in June 2025.
The campaign seeks to ensure the long-term sustainability of the museum and its educational programs in the heart of East Liverpool’s historic downtown.
Tax-deductible donations will support essential renovations, new exhibits, scholarships, community outreach, and educational programs. The campaign begins immediately and runs through Dec. 13, 2025. Donations and pledges can be made at LouHoltzHallofFame.com.
For more than 25 years, the Lou Holtz/Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame and Museum has celebrated the spirit, resilience, and achievements of people throughout the Ohio Valley. Through engaging exhibits and interactive displays, the museum has inspired thousands of visitors while preserving the region’s proud heritage.
As a nonprofit organization that has never charged admission, the museum depends entirely on donations to operate. The success of the “It’s a Wonderful Life Campaign” will determine its ability to continue serving as a cornerstone of community pride, education, and inspiration for years to come.
