The WLC Club
The WLC Club met on Sept. 2 at the Living Well Church, with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with roll call then Connie Hissam leading the group in prayer.
The best loser was Hissam and Brenda Young wore the officers ribbon. Barb Tranter and Peggy Imburgia turned in 10 weight loss slips and will receive two weeks dues paid. Hissam won the challenge and received the dimes.
Jarvis won the calorie chart drawing. The no-no for the week was potato chips Hissam also won the 50/50 drawing.
The meeting will be upstairs next week.
The contest is going well and members are to do a chart and exercise 10 minutes per day.
Tranter read a funny joke and then Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, Sept. 15 with leader Mary Gailey presiding. The best loser was Gailey and the runner up was Cindy Hays. They chose cereal and all sodas as the junk foods for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: Food chart and 50/50, Darlene Naukem; weight loss, Gailey; and junk food, Lydia Kraft.
Hays was in the attendance record for eight weeks. Becky Andrews now holds the travel box. Six members remain on the check.
Pat Allison presented the program and members of were given fruit and vegetables. Garn has the program next week.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and the Lord’s Prayer.
