Charges pending following drug bust

EAST LIVERPOOL — Drug charges are pending following the search of an East Liverpool home Thursday.

The Columbiana County Drug Task force, with assistance from the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant at 627 Minerva St.

A search of the residence located 117 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 54 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 13 grams of suspected fentanyl. Agents also found paraphernalia and packaging material consistent with bulk drug trafficking.

Those arrested on scene include Ania Amos, 21, Columbus, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly providing a false name and age to agents; Derek Thompson, 30, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly beginning to run from officers after being told to stop; and De’Amonte Pagan, 25, Columbus, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt used crack pipe.

Two other individuals were found at the residence.

Additional charges pending BCI lab results.

DTF agents were also assisted by officers from East Liverpool, Salem and Columbiana police departments.
