LISBON — A New Jersey man died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in West Township.

According to the Lisbon post of the State Highway Patrol, Robert J. Walters was traveling eastbound at 4:42 a.m. on U.S. Route 30 near mile post 6, when his semi traveled off the right side of the road and down an embankment, overturning.

Walters was pronounced dead at the scene.

Assisting the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the scene were the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office, the Hanover Township Fire Department and EMS as well as Minerva’s fire department and EMS.

This crash remains under investigation.
