Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office deputy suffers minor injures in head-on collision
LISBON — A Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office deputy suffered minor injuries from a two-vehicle head-on collision Wednesday afternoon on the jail/sheriff’s office driveway at County Home Road.
Chief Deputy Jen Tucker said Deputy Nick Rusyn had a couple bumps and bruises, but was treated and released at Salem Regional Medical Center. The cruiser was totaled in what she called a no-fault accident.
According to an Ohio State Highway Patrol report, the deputy was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer and exiting the driveway when a vehicle driven by Amy Frampton, 66, Leslie Road, Lisbon, was entering the drive and they collided at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday.
Frampton refused treatment at the scene. Hanover EMS transported the deputy to the hospital in Salem.
