Buckeye Water District modifies courtesy disconnect notices

WELLSVILLE — Buckeye Water District’s Board of Trustees recently met in special session to update signature cards on depository accounts and courtesy notice for disconnects.

The board adopted resolutions for both with all-in-favor votes.

For depository accounts the board designated Huntington National Bank and Consumers National Bank, formerly known as CF Bank, as the district’s depositories for active and interim deposits of the district and designated President David Dawson, Vice President George Kosko and Secretary/Treasurer Robert Wines as authorized signatories on the accounts.

The courtesy notice modification states that if the district attempts a disconnect for delinquency, but is unable to complete the disconnect due to the water line location, water line issues or scheduling conflicts, the district will post a written notice advising the customer that the service is on the disconnect list and a $25 fee has been added to their account and water service is being scheduled for disconnection.

District Manager Al DeAngelis mentioned during the meeting, that with the district preparing to build a new administration building, the district has received several offers for the building they are currently located in and asked if the board members wanted to consider having the building appraised. Board members agreed an appraisal should be done.

The Buckeye Water District Board of Trustees meets the third Thursday of each month at 9 a.m. in council chambers at Wellsville Village Hall, 1200 Main St. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 20.

Starting at $2.99/week.
