Oktoberfest will feature music, food, games and drink
EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool Area Rotary is hosting the 11th annual Oktoberfest Saturday at Thompson Park located at 2626 Parkway Ave.
The event which runs from noon until 8 p.m., will feature musical entertainment acts Patty C and the Guys, a polka band from Cleveland, near the pavilion from noon until 4 p.m.; and Jack Tady and the Tady Bears, playing polka tunes from 4-8 p.m.
The festival will feature activities for children such as pumpkin painting, face painting, a spooky pumpkin bounce house, giant obstacle course and more. There will be a variety of food trucks/vendors, beers and wines. More than a dozen seasonal beers, including those from local brewery, Numbers Brewing, located in Lisbon. Additionally, there will be several featured wines. Festival goers will be able to purchase a commemorative Oktoberfest stein for their drinks
Many of the vendors will feature authentic German cuisine along other items. Food will also be available from local restaurant Cadence Vault. Many craft booths with a variety of offerings as well as pumpkins for purchase.
Free parking is available at the park and transportation from the parking area is available at no charge courtesy of Wee the People.
