Three Columbiana County newspapers presenting Best of the Best Readers’ Choice Awards Contest

For 2022, the Morning Journal, The Review and the Salem News are showcasing an all-encompassing Best of the Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

The contest is bigger than ever this year, providing more visibility to area businesses and organizations by being online. Anyone with access to the Internet can participate in the nomination and voting process.

Want to show some love to our favorite restaurant, hair salon or any other local business? It will not be difficult.

Readers can nominate their favorite local businesses in 135 catergories through August 21. Readers will be able to vote online once per day per category.

“Every valid business receiving a nomination will be put in the first round of voting,” said Tammie McIntosh, publisher of the Columbiana County Newspapers. “Our readers have the final say in who is chosen the best in respective categories.”

Once the nomination phase is completed, the nominated businesses in each category will advance to the voting phase. Readers can then vote daily from October 1-8 for their favorite businesses out of the top five in each category.

Best of Best winners and the top two finalists in each category will be announced in a special combined November publication in the Morning Journal, The Review and the Salem News.

A list of zip codes for eligible geographic areas surrounding and including Columbiana County; frequently asked questions; and contest rules and guidelines are available on the website.

“You will be seeing a lot of ‘BOB’ in all three of our newspapers and websites in the coming weeks,” McIntosh added. “This will be plenty of fun for our readers and local businesses.”
