Lion’s Club Scholar of the Month

Austin Williams, 18, the son of Shawn and Brittan Williams of New Cumberland, is the May recipient of the Lion’s Club Scholar of the Month.

A senior at Oak Glen High School, Austin currently holds a 4.18 GPA. He has taken several Advanced Placement classes as well as a few dual enrollment classes through West Virginia Northern Community College.

Austin is a part of several clubs. He was a part of the Prom Committee junior year. During his senior year, he was a part of the Culture Club and the Key Club. He has also been a member of the National Honor Society since his junior year. Additionally, Austin was one of eight selected for the Judicial Scholars Program his senior year.

After graduation, Austin plans to attend Kent State University and to major in biochemistry. His ultimate career goal is to enter the field of forensic science.
