Clean Up Days in Wellsville starts soon
WELLSVILLE – Residents in the village will get a chance to get rid of junk laying around their property by participating in next week’s Clean Up Days.
Mayor Bob Boley said the village will have three dumpsters for residents to use starting on May 25 and continuing through May 27. He asks that there be no TVs, computers, tires, bricks or rocks. Appliances may be left next to the dumpster because those will be going to a different location.
Other upcoming events in the village include the Garfield Block Party at the Elementary School from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 26.
The Wellsville Community Foundation and Elks Lodge will hold a Summer Block Part, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, June 10 on Riverside Avenue between Seventh and Eighth Streets.
Boley said village is currently planning to use this summer’s paving money on 10th Street, from near where the railroad tracks are located as far as the village funding will allow it to go.
Additionally, the village is working on getting the cemetery cleaned up and ready for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. Shorthanded at the moment, Boley reported he has been out helping them to get things done.
There was no legislation at this week’s council meeting.
