Lions Club book sale

The Newell Lions Club, 510 Washington St., will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 10 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 11. All hardcover books are $1, standard paperbacks 25 cents and juvenile/young adult 25 cents.

Homemade soup / sandwich

Oak Ridge Church in Wellsville will offer homemade soup/sandwich from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1. Soup/sandwich, beverage and dessert for donation. Eat in or carry out. Soup also available by the quart.
