Dutchtown School Road in Elkrun Township will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for culvert repairs.

Men’s Breakfast

Men’s Breakfast at Boyce Church in East Liverpool will host a men’s breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday. Mike Solderbeck will be the speaker. All are welcome.

Class of ’58 Christmas party

The Wellsville Class of 1958 will hold its Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Alumni Center. Any classmates interested in attending should call 330-303-3640 or 330-831-1958.

Rabies vaccine clinic

Mahoning County Public Health will offer a rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. In Mahoning County, rabies vaccination is required for all dogs, cats, and ferrets over 3 months of age. Cost is $8 per rabies shot (cash only). Pet owners must have their pets on a leash, in a cage, or carried inside a pillowcase. This is a low-cost clinic that does not include a physical examination of the animal. The veterinary staff reserves the right not to vaccinate any animal in the event the animal appears to be in poor health. To receive the three-year booster, bring proof of prior rabies vaccination on or after Nov 21, 2020. Without proof of prior vaccination, the pet will receive a one-year vaccination only. No appointment is necessary for rabies vaccinations.

Silent Auction Book Sale

The Columbiana Public Library will hold a Silent Auction Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11. This one-day-only event features gently used beautiful books from art to Yellowstone National Park and more. All items are priced individually with the option to “buy it now” for a set price. Bundles of books by beloved mystery and romance authors as well as Children’s and Christmas books are available too. Sponsored by The Friends of the Columbiana Public Library. All Covid masking and spacial distancing must be followed in the library.

Salem Christmas Parade

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and the Salem News is sponsoring the Salem Christmas Parade with the theme “Making Spirits Bright” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2. The parade route will start at the Salem Senior High School to Lincoln to State then Ellsworth, ending on Second Street. Light Up Night will be held on the front lawn of Salem City Hall immediately following the Christmas Parade. Prizes will be awarded for best commercial, best religious, and best non-profit floats. Contact the chamber for applications at 330-337-3473 or info@salemohiochamber.org. Deadline for applications is Nov. 26.
