Chester-Newell Sportsmen Club

At the regular meeting Tuesday, October 5, it was discussed to have a kids day at the club next summer for shooting, archery and fishing, since nobody is applying for our college scholarships.

The next Women on target class is scheduled for this weekend Oct 16, for ladies who want to learn how to shoot. $35 includes cost of ammo and lunch. Call 304-670-9532 to register.

The last concealed carry class is scheduled for Oct. 30, the fee is $75 for certification which is good in W. Va. and OH. To register call 330-383-1886

A Hunter education class will be scheduled for November, to be determined. Turkey shoots are every Sunday from 10 a.m. – ? and will continue into December.

Tickets need to be in at the November meeting for the five gun raffle. Also a cord of wood raffle will start for December.

Tops 1957

Tops 1957 of Wellsville met on October 12, at the Living Well Church with leader Barb Tranter opening v the meeting with pledges, roll call and then Mary Schmidt led the group in prayer. Tops best loser was Janice Monte, Kops best loser was Alice Eckstein and Peggy kiddey wore the officers ribbon. The dimes will be carried over and Mary Schmidt was recognized for having list weight for six weeks with no gain. Schmidt also won the 50/50 drawing.

For the contest members are to lose at least a fourth of pound to get a point and the biggest loser for the week will get an extra point. The Nono for the week is cookies and ice cream.
